By Train: The nearest railway station to Ooty is Mettupalayam, which is about 47 km away. There are regular train services from Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, and other major cities to Mettupalayam. From Mettupalayam, you can take the famous Nilgiri Mountain Railway toy train to reach Ooty.

By Road: Ooty is well-connected to major cities in South India by road. There are regular bus services from Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mysore, and other nearby cities to Ooty. You can also hire a taxi or self-drive to reach Ooty.

By Toy Train: Ooty is connected to Mettupalayam by a toy train that covers a distance of 46 km. The Nilgiri Mountain Railway toy train is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and provides a scenic journey through the mountains.
